Lower Merion Historical Society T he Lower Merion Historical Society is an organization dedicated to "Preserving Our Past For The Future." This is accomplished by stewardship of local history, education of the community, preservation of historic resources and outreach to promote awareness of the cultural heritage of the Township of Lower Merion and the Borough of Narberth.The Lower Merion Library System (LMLS) is a dynamic group of six libraries located just west of Philadelphia. The System serves approximately 60,000 residents of Lower Merion Township and offers reciprocal borrowing to neighboring residents through the ACCESS Pennsylvania program. LMLS is an active participant in interlibrary loan and other cooperative projects among libraries in the state. The Lower Merion Orchestra's major objective is to make exceptional classical music available to as wide an audience as possible. In its endeavor to fulfill its mission, the Orchestra remains one of the few musical organizations that gives free concerts.
The Main Line Newcomers Club
has been extending a hand of friendship to newcomers and residents
in Philadelphia's Main Line since 1951.
Main Line School Night is committed to enhancing community life by providing adults with opportunities to pursue lifelong learning through a wide selection of affordable, stimulating classes and programs that contribute to personal growth and enrichment.
Neighborhood Club of Bala Cynwyd Established in 1906, the Neighborhood Club of Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania, has continuously worked to preserve the residential character of our neighborhood and to promote civic welfare and community spirit. The Neighborhood Club also supports the businesses in our area, recognizing that strong commercial areas contribute to the quality of community life.

The Ardmore Initiative is a business district authority responsible for physical improvements and economic development in downtown Ardmore. Over the years, the Ardmore Initiative has worked with Lower Merion Township and local community organizations to improve the appearance of downtown Ardmore and ensure a vibrant mix of businesses in its historic district.Eldernet - Neighbors Helping Neighbors ElderNet helps older and disabled adults to remain living independently and safely in their homes by providing free, practical, volunteer, and social work services. Most volunteer services are targeted toward frail older and younger disabled persons with low to moderate incomes in Lower Merion and Narberth.
First Friday Main Line is a non-profit, 501C3,
community organization founded in 2006 by the area’s business and
cultural leaders. The Mission of FFML is to bring Art to our Main
Line community by creating opportunities to experience Art in
everyday life. This initiative has revitalized our Main Line
communities of Ardmore, Haverford and Bryn Mawr while creating a
regional spotlight for a diverse body of talented Artists,
Musicians, and Performers. Harriton House - Historic House from 1704
This estate was originally part of a much larger
tract of land known as the Welsh Tract or Welsh Barony. Today, the
restored 1704 house and large park are open to the public as a
cultural resource. The Township of Lower Merion in Montgomery
County, Pennsylvania, owns the historic property, while the Harriton
Association administers the site. Community information including population statistics and demographics, businesses, real estate, travel, maps, events, history, trivia, classified ads, forums and more. Lower Merion Affordable Housing Corporation This ongoing program acquires and rehabilitates homes to sell to eligible families to help increase the number of affordable Lower Merion homes.
