West Chester, Pennsylvania
is a borough located in Chester County. West Chester is the county
seat for Chester County. Chester county is part of the 19380 and
19382 zip codes. It has been the county seat since 1786.
In 1682, Chester County was established by William Penn, along with
Bucks and Philadelphia County. West Chester was originally known as
Turk's Head. The name came from an Inn located in the Center of the
borough.
